However, in her kind of profession she has been having many challenges in life whereby even her salary is not enough to meet all of her family's basic needs.

She tried to construct that house where she is photographed and with her low income, it has not allowed her to complete the building.

So she now applies for a loan of $850 to enable her to complete her building and care for her family. The building will also be a source of money to repay the loan. She is thankful for the opportunity to apply for a loan, and hopes to be considered.

Grace has been facing challenges in life with her family since the death of her husband. But through this business she has tried to remain focused and see life go on peacefully.

However, she still has difficulty in raising capital and this leads to low income in most cases. She is requesting a loan of $800 to enable her to raise her capital. She will be grateful when considered, and this will be of great help to her in raising money to help support her family's basic needs as well as be able to pay back the loan out of profits.

Amero Hellen is a single lady with four children. She lives in one of Mable's slum areas. She deals with baking local bread (Tomberu) and cassava chips. She processes her bread at home and operates her business at schools during school days, then markets throughout the week. This business has been operating successfully for two years.

She began her business with a capital of Ug. Shs. 3,200, which she received from labouring on peoples farms. She purchased baking flour of 2kg, Cooking oil a half litter, and charcoal, all for Ug. Shs. 700/-

After purchasing these ingredients, she bakes her bread and sells it for a profit of Ug. 1,500. She continued with her business until she raised a capital which enables her to boost up her business by buying equipment like a frying pan, some dishes and baking flour with cooking oil. These additional ingredients helped her raised her capital.

She is requesting a loan of $500 to boost up her business even more. She wishes to improve her bakery by purchasing more equipment and adding ingredients to increase her profits. This wil help her care for her family, pay school fees for her children, and provide good quality bread for the community. If given the loan money, she will be capable of paying back within the stated period.

Betty’s business is located in one of the villages in Bukedea District and you'll find that she has extended her services to local people in this village. She’s one of those people who has a great interest in saving the lives of those with serious health problems. This surely is of great help to many who are unable to get to the hospital due to lack of enough money to either transport them to hospital or pay for treatment.

Betty is applying for a loan of $800 to help her expand her stock by stocking more drugs and she would also like to enlarge the premises of operation.

She will be very grateful to the help given so as to enable her to meet the demands of her clients in this village.

She started with a capital of $100 and currently has a capital of $150. This however, shows that she is a lady who is capable of running her business, and she only needs more capital to enable her to meet the demand of her customers at the place of operation.

She applies for a loan of $500 to enable her to expand her stock and also buy more clothes and trinketss, so there is greater variety for her customers to select from. This will be of great help to her and she will be very grateful when given the money to enable her to stock more goods.

Yen Louv is a happy mother of a large and busy family. She has five daughters and one son who all live at home. Yen Louv currently sells fruit near a school that is close to their home. She earns about $3.75 from this each day. Yen Louv's husband is a security guard and he earns a salary of $50 per month. Their four oldest daughters all work in a local factory and each earn a salary of $90 per month. Their 15 year old daughter and 7 year old son are both still attending school.

This large bustling family is currently facing transportation problems, and therefore Yen Louv is requesting a loan of $1,000 in order to purchase two motorbikes which cost $500 each. These motorbikes will allow her daughters to safely get to work each day, as well as allow her husband and other two children to get to work and school. Ultimately, this will also allow the family to eliminate the cost of using motorbike taxis.

In the future Yen Louv would like to expand her fruit sales business near the school to include selling water cane. This is popular with the children in the area, and she believes it will help to increase her sales.
